Kirsten Wild

Partner / AIA, Assoc. DBIA, LEED AP BD+C

Kirsten Wild believes civic buildings are a commitment to the communities they serve and designs them accordingly. As a Partner at Weinstein A+U with 26 years of Pacific Northwest practice, she has been integral to establishing the firm's fire station, community, and faith-based design practice, shaping the firm's approach to adaptive reuse and building the client relationships that define these bodies of work today.

As Partner-in-Charge, keeping that commitment means establishing project priorities before design begins, guiding the stakeholder process to ensure understanding and buy-in on the decisions that set the stage for design, and maintaining a focus on holding budgets and schedules without compromising the work. Her fire station portfolio spans Seattle's full levy-funded station program, and includes two concurrent Tukwila stations, each requiring alignment across fire operations, municipal procurement, and community expectations. In adaptive reuse, she starts by identifying what makes an existing building worth preserving, then determines the precise interventions that bring it forward without overwriting what gives it value.
